Introduction

Satoshi Murayama suffered from nephrosis, an incurable kidney disease and was repeatedly hospitalized since childhood. But when little Satoshi learns SHOGI from his father, he becomes captivated and aspires to become a professional SHOGI player.
Satoshi’s rivalry and adoration towards Habu grows stronger when Habu achieves an unprecedented feat and wins all seven SHOGI titles. Satoshi becomes even more fixated on SHOGI and winning the “meijin” title. He continues to preserver but cancer was slowly taking over his body. Satoshi ignores his doctor’s orders and continues to play SHOGI.
