Introduction

Rintaro returns home for the first time in a long while to see his dying fatther Hitoshi, and prepares for the funeral with his older sister Miyako. However, thier mother Akiko cancels the traditional bentos served at a wake as per her husband's final request. Each time they eat Akiko's home cooked food, memories of the family's life over five years they lived together well up in thier minds.
